A charger and a short riding induction are included with every rental. A refundable
$70 hold is placed on your card and released within 24–48 hours after the scooter
comes back undamaged.
Cargador e inducción de manejo incluidos. Se retiene un depósito reembolsable
de $70 en la tarjeta, liberado entre 24 y 48 horas después de la devolución sin daños.
No suministramos casco. Es obligatorio para conducir — traiga el suyo.

Rules of the ride / Reglas
- Helmet on at all times — not provided by us · Casco puesto en todo momento — no lo suministramos
- No alcohol, no drugs · Nada de alcohol ni drogas
- Never into the ocean, rivers or deep sand · Nunca al mar, ríos ni arena profunda
- Stay within the agreed distance from the shop and bring it back with at least 20% battery · Mantenerse dentro del radio acordado y devolverlo con 20% de batería mínimo
- Obey traffic signs and Costa Rican authorities · Respetar señales de tránsito y autoridades
Autonomía real: 10 a 14 millas por carga según peso, terreno y velocidad. La carga tarda 4 a 6 horas, así que planificá la ruta.
Liability waiver / Exención de responsabilidad
Operating an off-road electric scooter involves inherent risk, including falls, collisions and injury. By renting, you assume those risks and release Purple Rentals, its owners and staff from civil liability for injury, death, property damage or third-party claims arising from your use of the equipment, except in cases of proven gross negligence.
Purple Rentals does not provide helmets or protective gear, and does not include medical or liability insurance in the rental rate. You are responsible for wearing a helmet and for any travel, health or accident coverage you consider necessary.
As of today, Costa Rican traffic law does not specifically regulate electric scooters on public roads. Their use may be subject to the discretion of traffic authorities. You agree to ride at your own discretion, favouring private roads, trails and areas we point out to you.
You are responsible for damage, loss or theft of the scooter and its accessories up to the replacement value of $700. Each unit carries a GPS device used only for security and recovery; by renting, you consent to its use during the rental period.
Purple Rentals is an independent recreational equipment rental service, separate from any other business operating at the same address.
Manejar un scooter todo terreno implica riesgos inherentes, incluyendo caídas, colisiones y lesiones. Al alquilar, usted asume esos riesgos y libera a Purple Rentals, sus dueños y colaboradores de responsabilidad civil por lesiones, muerte, daños materiales o reclamos de terceros derivados del uso del equipo, salvo negligencia grave comprobada.
Purple Rentals no suministra casco ni equipo de protección, y no incluye seguro médico ni de responsabilidad civil en la tarifa. Usted es responsable de usar casco. El uso de patinetes eléctricos no tiene regulación específica en Costa Rica. Usted es responsable por daño, pérdida o robo del equipo hasta $700. Cada unidad lleva GPS para seguridad y localización; al alquilar, usted consiente su uso. Purple Rentals es un servicio independiente de alquiler, distinto de cualquier otro negocio en la misma dirección.
